As a volunteer, you'll be the heartbeat of an event where 1,000+ business owners and operators come together to forge connections that transform companies. You won't just be directing traffic or handing out badges—you'll be facilitating the very relationships that power business growth across America's heartland.

This is not about adding a line to your resume—it's about being present at the birthplace of business relationships that will flourish for years to come. After all, every iconic business has a birthplace, and it's never too far from Main Street.

What is Main Street Summit?

Main Street Summit is a festival-style event that brings together small to medium-sized business owners, operators, investors, and team from a variety of industries for two days of learning, connecting, and celebrating. Taking place across multiple venues in Columbia, MO’s downtown district, the festival features:

  • Expert-driven content from industry leaders on our main stage

  • Interactive workshops and breakout sessions

  • Fun and engaging activations, live music and entertainment

  • The best food and hospitality this side of the Mississippi

With activities happening simultaneously across different locations, the summit creates an energetic atmosphere where attendees can customize their experience based on their interests and schedule.

Available Roles

  • We have various positions to suit different interests and schedules:

    • Event Setup/Teardown Crew: Help prepare the venue before the event by setting up equipment, decorations, and signage, and assist with packing up and restoring the space afterward.

    • Pass Pick-up Team: Ensure attendees receive their passes and assist them with any questions regarding sessions, event locations, and amenities.

    • Hospitality Team: Welcome attendees and speakers, providing them with event information and assisting with any inquiries.

    • General Store Team: Assist with store set up, greeting attendees, restocking inventory and check-out services.

    • Assistant Venue Captains: Ensure excellent hospitality for attendees and speakers by managing lines, handling session check-ins, and supporting the Venue Captain.

    • Golf Cart Drivers: Get folks where they need to go. Safely transport Speakers and Flagship Pass Holders to specific venues or events throughout the Summit.

Time Commitment

Volunteers can choose from flexible shifts during the summit. Even a few hours of your time makes a huge difference!

General Volunteers will contribute approximately 8-12 hours of their time before, during, and after the summit. In return, you'll receive a GA pass to attend any Main Stage content that doesn’t clash with your schedule, a Main Street Summit t-shirt, and access to the HQ or as we call it "Corporate."

Super Volunteers will contribute approximately 15+ hours before/during/after the summit. Benefits include all General Volunteer benefits plus additional merch, and a Classic Pass to attend any sessions that don’t interfere with your schedule (space permitting).
